In the last 24 hours, India has seen 1.96 lakh cases of Covid-19.
COVID is a virus that infects people. According to data updated on Tuesday by the Union Health Ministry, the number of infections in India in last 24 hours, India has recorded 1,96,427 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of Covid cases in the country to 2,69,48,874.
The virus has claimed the lives of 3,511 people in India, increasing the number death toll by the virus to 3,07,231. Meanwhile, a total of 2,40,54,861 people have recovered from the disease.
In India, there are 25,86,782 active Covid cases.

On Monday, Maharashtra announced 22,122 new coronavirus cases and 592 deaths, bringing the total number of infections to 56.02 lakh and the death toll to 89,212.
The states with the most infections are Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh.
Karnataka, the state hardest hit by the second wave of coronavirus, saw 25,311 new cases. Bengaluru, the state capital, reported 5,701 infections, slightly less than the previous day.
There was a small decrease in regular Covid cases and deaths in Tamil Nadu, with 34,867 new cases and 404 deaths. The capital city of Chennai is responsible for 4,985 new diseases.
Kerala, a neighbouring state, recorded 17,821 new coronavirus cases on Monday, despite a drop in testing. Today, 196 Covid-related deaths were confirmed, the largest single-day total in the state’s history.
On Monday, Delhi reported 1,550 new coronavirus cases, the lowest daily total since March 27, and 207 deaths.
In the last 24 hours, Uttar Pradesh, the country’s most populous state, has reported 3,894 new COVID-19 incidents.
In the same period, 153 Covid patients died. It ranks fifth among India’s worst-affected nations.
